"Receive The Holy Ghost"

Matt: 5:6

The blessing is about having Spiritual appettite. People are malnoutrishoued not because they don’t eat but they eat the wrong thing. Donuts taste good but they have no nutritional value. I had an uncle that became a crusader for health after he destroyed his, and was dying. He had one son who he loved!! His son had 3 boys and a girl, but he didn’t get to see them, because of his appetite.

one must become hungry for what pleases God. If you train your appetite like that you will be filled. you will be satisfied with devine contentment.

Here are some ideas for a lesson plan on the Holy Ghost:

****Explain the gift- What better gift than God Himself to dwell with us.

Luke 11:13 MSG

As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing—you’re at least decent to your own children. And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?”

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. God shows just how much He loves us by the gifts He gives us. Explain that the Holy Ghost is a gift that can help and comfort members of the Body of Christ.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

*****Emphasize the importance of the Holy Ghost- You are not of His. Romans 8:9-11

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

The Holy Ghost is a must haveIt is a must have

Emphasize that the Holy Ghost's companionship is one of the greatest gifts in life. Discuss how to receive the Holy Ghost Discuss the requirements to receive the Holy Ghost, such as having faith, being clean, and having a pure motive. Explain how to recognize the Holy Ghost Discuss how to recognize the Holy Ghost's quiet whisperings, such as by paying attention to thoughts and feelings, reading the scriptures, and attending sacrament meetings. Discuss how to invite the Holy Ghost into life ***Discuss how to invite the Holy Ghost into life by seeking His influence daily, keeping the commandments, and avoiding situations that dull the senses. Make room for the Holy Ghost willing to deny self, Humble yourself.

Discuss how to listen to the Holy Ghost Discuss how to listen when the Holy Ghost speaks, and how to do what is inspired by the Holy Ghost. Use an activity to illustrate the Holy Ghost. Be willing to do what He says, most people have no intentions of being changed by God. Set up an obstacle course and have a blindfolded child navigate the course by listening to quiet instructions from another child or adult. Read scriptures-we don’t plan on winning if we are not reading the Word.
